The Sathya Sai Educare Centre, based in Westham, Phoenix was the place to be as the August Rudram 11 was held in this beautiful location.
The Sathya Sai Educare Centre was a fitting host for Rudram 11 because of its alignment with Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s universal message: “There is only one religion, the religion of Love.”
Sri Sathya Sai Baba often encouraged the chanting of the Vedas, affirming their power to awaken the heart and uplift humanity.
The centre, dedicated to both education in human values and spiritual practice, provided the perfect environment where seekers of all ages could participate in and benefit from this chanting.
It embodied Baba’s vision of harmonising ancient wisdom with modern living, showing how the Vedas remain deeply relevant today.
As we have moved into the second half of the year, the Vedas4all chanters gathered once again for another spiritually elevating Rudram 11. The dedicated band of regular chanters, were joined by 5 new chanters who need special mention.
One child joined in to recite the Ganapathi Prarthana and Gayatri Mantra with the other regular children who attend each month. We also had one new youth who recited one round of the Rudram with the brothers. We hope more youth will be inspired to join as well.
Finally, we had three 3 sisters who recently completed training on the Namakam and part of the Chamakam and chanted for their first time at any event.
As the sacred mantras were chanted in unison, the centre vibrated with a sense of oneness. Devotees experienced not just ritual, but a living connection with the Divine.
The Rudram’s call to peace resonated with the Sai mission of love, service, and unity.
It was a reminder that true education is not only about the mind, but about nurturing the heart and spirit.
The collective energy of the chanting became a spiritual offering for peace in KZN, South Africa, and the world at large.

The Rudram 11 at The Sathya Sai Educare Centre in KZN was more than a sacred event — it was a living expression of universal spirituality. It reminded all present that while faiths may have different forms, the essence is the same: to realize the Divine within and to live in harmony with all beings.
As the final echoes of the chant faded, what remained was a deep stillness — filled with peace, love, and the subtle assurance that the power of sacred sound continues to uplift humanity.
As the spiritual momentum grows, it is wonderful to see more chanters coming on board. We are getting ready for the next Rudram 11 and look forward to more new chanters.
