Rudram 11 - KZN, May 2026

Vedas4all held another successful Rudram 11 on 2 May 2026 at the Prem Sai Ashram, Ballito.

The Prem Sai Ashram opened its doors for the first time in November 2024. The shrine was designed to replicate the main shrine in Prashanti Nilayam, and the walls of the Ashram reflect the key values and teachings of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. This was indeed a beautiful setting to recite the Sri Rudram.

The Sri Rudram is a sacred prayer that belongs to no single religious community. It is a prayer for Purity-Unity-Divinity. The Rudram includes prayer for food for the hungry, healing for the suffering, and water for the thirsty — for every living being without exception.

The involvement of children in the Rudram 11 is growing. The opening prayer was led by four children with the recitation of the Ganapathi Prārthana and Gayatri Mantra. In addition, two of the children, who regularly join the daily Vedas4All 5am Vedam morning chanting, also recited full rounds of the Namakam and Camakam with the adults. We would love to see more children attending the Rudram 11 going forward.

The beautiful somewhat quite north coast town of Ballito was spiritually charged with the vibrations created by this gathering of more than 100 chanters and listeners, as the sacred Sri Rudram was recited 11 times. This town and all those who attended will never be the same.
